Yesterday afternoon after Niclas finished his Christmas shopping and I pulled out Matilda's 12 month clothes and put away her 6-9 month clothes, the three of us played on the floor in her room. She hugged the foot of her stuffed monkey and blew raspberries to the four corners. She put her palm up to her right temple and waited for us to repeat this back to her. Then she walked back and forth between the two of us taking three consecutive steps on her own. Matilda is officially walking. Here and there. Until she gets tired or bored and starts paying more attention to the Lego block in her hand than her feet. Then she sits down with a thump and waggles her tongue at us.
She's been having some tantrum-like moments the past week or so. Could be the build-up to walking or could, maybe, finally, be the beginning of teething.
Except not a chance in hell as those gums of hers have nothing to offer but pink.
